Monday and Wednesday Service

Our Monday and Wednesday Service is intended for Participants who are enrolled in our signature Tuesday and Thursday Program and need additional help with taking care of their pets.

What's Included in Our Service

Transporting our Participants' Pets to and from Veterinary Appointments

Our Coaches can transport our Participants' pets to and from their veterinary appointments on a yearly and as-needed basis at Green Mountain Animal Hospital, which has two locations within our greater Burlington community.
Before our Participants' pets' appointments, our Founder and Director and/or Assistant Director help by:
  • Scheduling and confirming our Participants' pets' appointments,
  • Transferring their pets' medical records (if needed), and,
  • Preparing any questions or concerns about their pets they may have.

During their appointments, one of our Coaches helps by:
  • Relaying their questions and concerns and
  • Taking notes.
  • Having one of Green Mountain Animal Hospital's veterinarians or veterinary technicians call our Participants and put them on speaker phone,
  • Having one of their receptionists print out their pets' updated medical records

After our Participants' pets' appointments, our Founder and Director and/or Assistant Director help by:
  • Calling our Participants to go over their updated medical records to help make sure that they understand their veterinarian's recommendations,
  • Emailing their pets' records, including rabies vaccine certificates, etc. to the property manager of their independent or assisted living facility (if needed),
  • Ordering and refilling their pets' prescription food and medications (if needed), and,
  • Calling or emailing their veterinarian if they have any further questions or concerns about their pets such as change in signs and symptoms.

Taking Care of our Participants' Pets while They're Staying at the Hospital

  • Whether one of our Participants is staying at their home recovering from an injury or illness or staying at a hospital, inpatient rehabilitation facility, or skilled nursing facility, we can help them to take care of their pets up to four days a week so that they can focus on taking care of themselves. And, we can coordinate with others (such as their social worker) to make sure that all of our pets' needs are addressed.
